About Waterproof Monitors

A waterproof monitor is a display designed to resist water and dust ingress. They are typically used in outdoor environments or in areas where they may be exposed to moisture, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and factories. Waterproof monitors are rated according to the Ingress Protection (IP) code, which consists of two numbers. The first number indicates the level of dust protection, while the second number indicates the level of water protection.

For example, a monitor with an IP65 rating is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. A monitor with an IP67 rating is dust-tight and protected against immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes. And a monitor with an IP68 rating is dust-tight and protected against continuous immersion in water at depths greater than 1 meter.
